OUR STORY

We are best friends that share the same Beauty philosophies based on Love, laughter, and self-care rituals. While we embrace the same holistic practices, our Beauty journeys and experiences with, and in our own skin, are different.

Coming from Asian-immigrant families, we both grew up with mothers who implemented skin care habits into our lives at an early age. We were given loads of lotions and creams, and fed the stinkiest of fermented foods. Little did we know, these methods would save our digestive systems, naturally replenish moisture and collagen in our skin, and develop early habits that would change the way we live our lives.

Hana grew up with a myriad of skin issues and digestion was not of concern until her early 20’s. Meanwhile, Jane was blessed with visibly flawless skin, but she was a regular at the ER for her severe digestive issues. Even today, our Beauty journeys are the polar opposite—Hana is obsessed with med-grade facials, and Jane has at-home kits for everything.

But our collective experiences are the root of our discussions and the catalyst for Age Like an Asian. Our conversations have helped us holistically address our Beauty needs, and we’ve discovered, much of our approach and solutions come from our mothers’ early advice—hence, Age Like an Asian.

Together, we are the skin rebels, a non-conformist duo. Age Like an Asian is conceived on the premise of delivering the art and science of skin. We are not afraid of breaking the rules to share the wisdom rooted in our personal experiences and generations of beautiful, strong women in our worlds.

This is our Love story—all the good, the bad, the weird, and everything in between. We hope our story informs, inspires, supports, and amuses you, while on your journey.
